By default, Nuvia prescribes FDA-approved medication. Compounded semaglutide or tirzepatide is used only when your NP documents an individual clinical reason and current law allows it, not as a standard cheaper option.

Most services at Nuvia are asynchronous ("async"): you complete a written intake and a licensed nurse practitioner reviews it and responds, typically within 24 hours, rather than a live conversation. Some services legally require one live video visit in addition to your intake. Currently, this includes testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) and any treatment involving a federally controlled substance, consistent with DEA telemedicine prescribing rules. You'll be told before your visit if a video visit is required for the service you've selected.
Medications are dispensed as FDA-approved brand or generic products through a licensed pharmacy, or, where clinically appropriate and legally permitted, through a compounding pharmacy. Compounded medications, including compounded semaglutide, tirzepatide, or other GLP-1 medications, are offered only where your clinician has documented an individualized clinical justification and current law permits compounding for that medication. Nuvia does not offer compounded medications solely as a lower-cost alternative once an FDA-approved product is available and not in shortage.

Every clinician providing care through Nuvia is licensed in the state where you are physically located at the time of your visit. Nuvia's clinicians hold active licenses in Florida, Tennessee, New York, Connecticut, Vermont, New Mexico, Washington, Iowa, Missouri, and Colorado. If you are located outside these states at the time of your visit, we cannot treat you, and any intake submitted from outside a licensed state will be declined.
Florida. Florida does not impose additional state-specific informed consent disclosures beyond the general telehealth standard of care. Nuvia obtains written informed consent from every patient as standard practice regardless of state-specific requirements. (Fla. Stat. § 456.47)
Tennessee. You'll be informed of the telehealth process before your visit, including that your session will not be monitored by anyone without your knowledge, and that declining telehealth will never result in services being withheld. You may end an encounter at any time. (Tenn. Code Ann. § 56-7-1002)
New York. Your provider documents your informed consent, including that you were told about the advantages and limitations of telehealth, your right to request in-person care instead, and that declining telehealth will not affect your access to services. (N.Y. Pub. Health Law art. 29-G § 2999-cc; 14 NYCRR Part 596)
Connecticut. Connecticut requires written or oral informed consent, documented in your health record, covering the limitations of the telehealth platform and whether your records will be shared with your primary care provider. You may revoke consent at any time. (Conn. Gen. Stat. § 19a-906(b)(2), (d), (e))
Vermont. Before your first visit you'll be told about the opportunities and limitations of telehealth, who else may be present or observing, your choice among telemedicine, in-person, or audio-only care, and expected billing. Consent may be given orally, and you may request a written copy. (18 V.S.A. §§ 9361–9362)
New Mexico. Your clinician obtains your medical history and informed consent, documented in your medical record, before providing care by video, and tells you about your right to refuse telehealth and your service delivery options. (N.M. Admin. Code 16.10.8.8(6))
Washington. Washington requires specific consent before billing you for audio-only telemedicine, documented in your record; this consent may cover up to 12 months of care and you may revoke it at any time. (WAC 284-170-433; RCW 48.43.735)
Iowa. You'll be informed of the risks and limitations of the telehealth technology used, including the potential for unauthorized access to your health information or technology disruption, before your first visit. (Iowa Admin. Code r. 655-7.9 and related board rules)
Missouri. Your consent, or your guardian's, is obtained before services begin, including confirmation that your visit complies with HIPAA confidentiality protections. (Mo. Rev. Stat. § 335.175; 20 CSR 2150-2.240, 2150-5.100)
Colorado. Colorado requires written consent (an electronic signature is acceptable) before your first telehealth visit, confirming that declining telehealth will never affect your access to future care, that ordinary confidentiality protections apply, and that you may access all resulting medical records. Later visits may be consented to verbally. (Colo. Rev. Stat. § 25.5-5-320(4); Colorado Medical Board Policy 40-27)

Nuvia Total Wellness offers cash-pay telehealth consultations delivered by licensed nurse practitioners, primarily asynchronously, with live video visits used where a service requires one. Nuvia bills Medicare for eligible patients located in Florida or New York, and New York Medicaid and Anthem for eligible patients located in New York. For insured visits, your plan determines what is covered, your cost share, and whether a live video visit is required. All other visits are cash-pay. On request, you may receive an itemized receipt to submit to your insurer for possible out-of-network reimbursement; reimbursement is never guaranteed.
You must be physically located in a state where your treating clinician is licensed at the time of every visit, and, unless a specific service states otherwise, at least 18 years old. Nuvia currently treats patients located in Florida, Tennessee, New York, Connecticut, Vermont, New Mexico, Washington, Iowa, Missouri, and Colorado only.
Nuvia is not equipped to handle medical emergencies. If you believe you are experiencing one, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room rather than submitting an intake.
Submitting an intake constitutes your consent to receive care by telehealth, including in an asynchronous format where applicable, subject to the disclosures in our Medical & Telehealth Disclaimer and any additional consent specific to your state. You may withdraw consent and request in-person care elsewhere at any time; doing so does not affect any future ability to use Nuvia's services.
You agree to provide true, current, and complete information about your identity, location, and health history. Care decisions are made based on what you report; providing inaccurate information may result in your care being declined, delayed, or terminated, and you are responsible for the consequences of information you know to be inaccurate.
All fees are due at the time of your visit. If your intake is reviewed and your clinician determines that treatment is not appropriate for your condition, you will receive a full refund of the visit fee. If you no-show or cancel a scheduled video visit without at least 24 hours' notice, the visit fee is non-refundable. Medication and lab fees, once a prescription or order has been submitted to a pharmacy or lab, are generally non-refundable.
Whether to prescribe, what to prescribe, and whether to request additional information, labs, or a video visit first, are clinical decisions made independently by your treating clinician. Submitting an intake or paying a visit fee does not guarantee a prescription. Medication availability and pharmacy pricing are outside Nuvia's control.
Messaging through Nuvia's platform is for non-urgent clinical communication only and is not monitored in real time. Do not use it to report an emergency. Response times are typically within 24 hours but are not guaranteed for any particular message.
The Nuvia name, logo, and website content are the property of Nuvia Total Wellness and may not be copied or used without permission.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Nuvia's total liability for any claim arising from your use of this website or its non-clinical services is limited to the amount you paid Nuvia in the twelve months before the claim arose, and Nuvia is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Nothing in this section limits or waives any claim for professional negligence in the delivery of medical care, which is governed by the medical malpractice and licensing laws of your state, not by this agreement.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where your state's law gives you rights or protections that cannot be waived by agreement, including patient protections related to telehealth consent, medical malpractice, and licensing-board complaints in your state of residence, which remain available to you regardless of this section. Before filing a claim, both parties agree to attempt to resolve the dispute informally by contacting the other. Absent a resolution, either party may bring a claim in state or federal court located in Florida.
Nuvia may suspend or terminate your access for violating these Terms, providing false information, or abusive conduct toward staff or clinicians. You may stop using Nuvia's services at any time.
We may update these Terms from time to time; the date below reflects the most recent version. Continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

With pharmacies and labs to fulfill your prescriptions or orders; with our telehealth platform, payment processor, and similar service providers who need it to support your care; when required by law, subpoena, or to prevent serious harm; and with your explicit permission for any other purpose. Nuvia does not sell your personal information.

Medical records are generally retained for a period required by the law of the state where care was provided, typically several years, even after a deletion request.
